Do you have or want to buy an Electric Vehicle?
Want to reduce emissions and smog in the Bay Area? Drive an electric vehicle to campus and help keep the air a bit cleaner!

For information on rebates and incentives for purchasing an EV, where to charge on campus, charging fees and parking spaces please see below.
- Buy or lease an EV & get $1,000 - $7,000. Incentives are based on where you live, the type of vehicle purchased or leased and household income. Use the savings calculator to find out how much you can get!
- California Clean Fuel Reward - SMUD may offer instant rebates on the purchase or lease of a new plug-in electric vehicle if funds are available. .
- The Purchase or lease an eligible pre-owned electric vehicle (EV) and receive up to $4,000 in rebates. PG&E will offer incentives of up to $2,500 per income-eligible single family household to help cover the cost of purchasing and installing EV charging equipment. This offering is only available to PG&E customers with an active residential electricity account.
- ZEVs are eligible for to access HOV lanes. The decals are subject to availability.
- AMP is offering use all-electric vehicle rebates, standard AMP rebates and income qualified rebates. See website for more details.
- Income-qualifying residents (limited to certain Bay Area zip codes) can qualify for rebates of up to $6,000! Peninsula Clean Energy makes it easier for residents in its member communities to purchase a used electric vehicle (EV). Used EV owners already save money on fueling and maintenance costs—now they can also enjoy immediate savings at time of purchase.
CSUEB has 50 electric vehicle (EV) charging spaces on the Hayward campus and 6 spaces on the Concord Center.
The Hayward campus EV charging stations are located in the following parking lots: A, D, G, J, K and L. The Concord Center EV charging stations are located by the main campus entrance close to the Faculty/Staff parking lot. A valid parking permit is required at all times when charging an electric vehicle on the CSUEB campuses.
